Day trip to Cadiz from Jerez

Backblip
We walked through the quiet streets of Jerez to the station, to get the local train to Cadiz. Very cheap return fare and a good clean train.

Breakfast of granola yogurt coffee croissant and orange juice to set us up for a day of sightseeing (in the shade). Yet another very warm day in the south of Spain.

We sat in the steps of the Cathedral in the big square and listened to a busker playing a Spanish guitar with beavers, cubs and scouts playing games in the centre of the square! I admired their energy in the already boiling hot sunshine.

Cadiz is very pretty with little brightly decorated streets filled with flowers and we came across another wedding (fourth this week) all the happy guests throwing rice and confetti at the happy couple.

Stopped at a fabulous juice bar and I’m not normal one for smoothies but this was superb and so cool too - much needed in the heat of the midday sun.

We walked down to the seafront and sat for a while being lulled by the waves. So across and down from here is Tangier, I believe they do day trips but I’m not great on a boat and if it’s this hot here.......

All too soon it was almost time for the train, we mis-timed it and one had just left so we spent a 15 minute wait in the coffee shop from this morning. Nice

It’s our last night in Jerez, so we wandered a little more after our meal out and thought about returning.....

We don’t take long to fall asleep this holiday....
