More Christmas is coming...

This is the giant tree in Martin Place, still being assembled as you can see. I saw them starting this work on Friday, I think, though maybe it was only yesterday? Shows what a big job it is!
Martin Place used to be open to traffic, but now it is a pedestrian mall only. It contains our cenotaph (so ANZAC Day and Remembrance Day ceremonies take place here), and this section between George St and Pitt St is bound in the south by what was our General Post Office (main PO headquarters) and on the north side by some lovely old buildings just showing in the left of the photo.
The post office has now relocated (to less prime premises) and the building has been restored and contains a five-star hotel, some five star boutiques and some five star restaurants.
Sorry - not much of a photo - but today was quite hectic, so it was dark when I left work, and I didn't get out at all at lunchtime.
