Life's Little Moments

Keel-billed toucan throwing back a treat

And what a day!  A long drive from San Jose to the Lagardo Lodge on the Carribean side of Costa Rica.  Maura caught up with us enroute so the entire gang is here.

We arrived at the lodge, shot off the bus and immediately started shooting. The bird activity was nothing short of amazing with an assortment that was enough to make shutters nearly catch fire.  I haven't yet gone through all my images but the hour grows late and my battery life is waning.  In addition to a host of honeycreepers, tanagers, and orioles, we saw both species of oropendolas and three toucan species.  Do be sure to click on the cr18 tag below to see everyone's shots from today, and for the rest of the trip as we go along.

Tomorrow we'll be shooting birds again, and bats tomorrow night.

Internet in the rain forest is sketchy, so I'll keep this short and post a link to extras later.

Cheers
Debbi
