A Crossbow Of Cranes
If you see what I mean.
Going to bed last night was wonderful. The was comfy, more than large enough and it didn't squeak like an unoiled piglet anytime I moved. And I didn't miss Farty & Snory from the Schnarchchor at all.
Getting up was lovely too. Oh look, a clean shower. Oh look, no.-one has left the toilet seat up and no-one has pissed on the floor. I really missed things like that. I'd like to see Julie Andrews work those into that song...
And breakfast - all Hail the Toaster - deliverer of warm crunchy goodness. And not forgetting the heaven-sent Tea Of Revival, a soothing infusion of all things gemütlich.
It was a much better day than yesterday. And remember, I got to come home yesterday.
As is my wont, when my life changes direction I tend to nibble at things. Not the cardboard tubes in toilet rolls, or the television cables, but enormous quantities of bisuits, crisps, cake and sweets. And drinking all the water, lemonade & now Apfelsaftschorle.
I think I'm taking myself off to a very old place of safety in my head. I shall hang the "Bitte, Nicht Stören"* sign on the door and settle back on my "It Can Wait" sofa for the rest of the day.
There's space if you want to join me.
