Pictorial blethers

I wish I was the kind of person who could enjoy being indoors on a day like this. It's not that I had nothing to do - I spent the bulk of the day at a PVG training session for the church, alternately bored and involved as we started considering case studies. In fact, by the time I emerged into the gusty gloom of the afternoon, my head was nipping with too much talk and the overhead heaters in the hall. It was a five-minute walk home for a cup of tea - but sitting down again just wasn't an option.

So here we are, approaching the bend in the road round the very back of Dunoon. Just round the bend is the weak bridge that is the approach to the drive of Holy Trinity church. It struck me in the failing light, as the rain pelted down in a chilly squall, that the light at the bend, where a path runs off into the Bishops' Glen, made this little corner look strangely welcoming - almost like a stage set in one of my early experiences of opera.

Anyway, it was enough for this blip of desperation - I nipped under a tree to protect my phone from the worst of the rain and this is the result.
