A Day Worth Recording

Pulsar-in-a-Box

Treated myself to a birthday board game, Pulsar 2849. Hoping to get it out at the DellCon next weekend but meanwhile punching out the bits and considering storage.

Board games these days either seem to come with an excessive plastic insert that makes the box 3 times the size it need be, a thin cardboard insert that crumbles under the weight of bits, or nothing.

This one has nothing, which is 'OK' but some form of divider for bits can be useful.  There's a sizeable market out there for wooden or 3D-printed inserts / organisers for modern boardgames but many of us craft something with foamcore board , as blipped previously.

Other makes of foamcore-flattening weights are available.
