New Curtains

A grey and misty day and the highlight was the fitting of our new curtains in the lounge and dining room.  Very pleased with how they have come out and the service received from the small local company.

A busy day doing admin, including half an hour on the phone to British Gas to ask them to send us a bill:-)  We've been here over three months and were beginning to think we were getting free electricity!  

Also spent ages sourcing and copying some silhouetted figures for best friend L. who is making birthday cakes for her grandsons and needed specific motifs.  My IT skills are better than hers, but it's the only skill I have that beats her!  In return, she sent me her secret recipe for pastry for mince pies, so it's made and resting in the fridge.  Will add my home-made mincemeat later and bake them tonight.  May have to hide them or there will be none left for Christmas:-)
