Monday...

...we walked along Rose Street and saw the art work created by Edinburgh College of Art’s artist-in-residence, Astrid Jaekel, based on the poem Beachcomber by George Mackay Brown. This panel reads:

Monday I found a boot –
Rust and salt leather.
I gave it back to the sea, to dance in.

The other panels continue with each day of the week. They are described as 'carved sheets of metal covering a string of windows, back-lit to give a three-dimensional glow, to come alive in the dusk'

As it was midday we did not witness the lighting effect but the pieces are still impressive with their white background.
