Kowloon City Walled Garden

Our first full day in Hong Kong was spent in Kowloon visiting various sites of beauty and historic interest. We were joined by our lovely friend Sandy (fellow blipper SweetArt) as we wandered around the Chi Lin Nunnery, Nan Lian Gardens, Sik Sik Yuen Wong Tai Sin Temple and the Kowloon Walled City Gardens.

With the exception of somewhat surprisingly the temple, the other three are places where you can escape the hustle and bustle of the city. Wisely we had regular stops for refreshments and food with Sandy’s husband Martin joining us in the evening at a favourite Chinese restaurant the Crystal Jade.

We are going to have to pace ourselves and slow down a bit tomorrow!

The main photo was taken in the Kowloon Garden and for anyone interested I have posted montages of all four sites as extras.

Many, many thanks for your kind response to the image of Victoria Harbour that I posted yesterday. I apologise that I haven’t had time to reply to you comments but your interest is much appreciated.
