It was a beautiful lunchtime so we went for a walk in the forest to admire the autumn colours (see extra for a load of falling leaves). Then home to tidy up the garden for half an hour before the rain tipped down.
The highlight of the day was going to the NT to see War Horse. I first saw it years ago and was happy to go again. It's an amazing show. You lose yourself into the puppet horses (second extra). Great lighting and sound. One of the great theatrical triumphs IMHO.
Coming out of the theatre some of the cast were holding buckets collecting for the British Legion. I had a nice chat with this gent and he was happy to be snapped. It's mighty grainy but it was dark but it makes a powerful memory of the eve of Remembrance Day.
