Dean Clough

Saturday walk - out to Dean Clough Reservoir, near Great Harwood, where Jan and I have never walked before, and off around said reservoir.
The light was very changeable. Mostly the skies were cloudy but then suddenly a gap opened and the sun shone through. In the case of this picture the gap opened to give a lovely blue backdrop, but the sun was over the other side of the sky.
After the walk we headed home for a quick bite to eat before going out to see "Iron Bell", a tribute band playing Pink Floyd, at the Library Theatre in Darwen. We got a good long interval out in the fresh air when the fire alarm went off and we all had to troop out and stand in the cold. However, it pepped us up for the second half. The musicians were very impressive indeed, and probably contemporaries of Pink Floyd, no spring chickens but no less impressive for that.
