Paradise Way

Out for coffee this morning with daughter and youngest small! Home in time for lunch - soup - then Mrs madwill went off to the studio, I went out with the dog for a walk. Home again, made some mushroom soup, then set about more cutting (buckets this time) for Mrs madwill’s quilt kits.

Blip photo is of Paradise Way, Bramham, catching the last of the afternoon sun.

The piece of road you can see was originally the southbound A1 dual carriageway - I am standing where lane 2 would have been. The remains of the Armco barriers can be seen just past the little road on the left.  When the dual carriageway was converted to three lanes in the 1980s (moved about 50 metres to the right) this was the slip road into the village. When the road was upgraded to A1(M) the slip roads were closed and this road formed the ‘local access’ that run alongside the main carriageway, so that we can get north to Wetherby and south to the A64/A1 junction.
