Harvesting Sugar Beet at Cambridge

We were out quite early to go to Addenbrooke's Hospital for Margarets monthly eye check-up... all was good her condition seems to have stabilised and she doesn't need more injections at least for now. The eye clinic are going to monitor the situation with monthly checks, so good news.

By way of a minor celebration we went for lunch at the biggest and busiest restaurant in Cambridge... The Sunshine Cafe at Scotsdale's Garden Centre.

Just a stones throw from the hospital we saw a field of sugar beet being harvested by this monster... not as big as some perhaps but still a massive machine. It's a Holmer Exxact Terra Dos T4-30 and it was lifting at a fantastic rate keeping the CLAAS 870 Axion tractor and 20 ton trailer very busy carting the beet to the edge of the field. (extra)
