Seattle Waterfront

When we left Milwaukee this morning it was 18 degrees(F), but it was 50 in Seattle when we landed so it felt like spring! Took the shuttle to the hotel & the room was ready so they checked us in 4 hrs. early—dropped off our luggage and took off walking around for the next 4 1/2 hours. Lots of beautiful old buildings to look at, which we loved. Went up in the Smith Tower—a really gorgeous building built in 1914–took the underground tour...lots of fun...there were a couple from France on the tour, one lady from Israel, and a really sweet girl from Australia. She and her husband (who didn’t do the tour) are traveling around the US for 3 months. I really enjoyed talking to her, in spite of the fact that she was using a Canon instead of a Nikon! Ha! Ha! Walked around the waterfront then over to check out CenturyLink Field, then back to the hotel. We need to grab something to eat, after which we’re going to the “complimentary evening reception” offered by the hotel (free drinks and snacks). Been running into lots of other Packer fans all over! :))
