Quiet moorings

Actually, this usually quiet road along Loch Striven wasn't at all quiet this afternoon, and we had to walk about two miles inland before we could escape the noise of this Fleet Auxiliary tanker which was either refuelling or - we thought - replenishing the shore tanks here. Beyond it, though rather too far for my camera to pick up, the snowy tops of the Arran hills were peeping over Bute. The surface of the loch was glassy, and the temperature 0ºC throughout our walk.
