Totensonntag

Totensonntagor Sunday of the Dead, another of the religious feasts that are a public holiday throughout Germany. Although Protestant in origin, it is also recognised in predominantly Catholic Bavaria as a special day of quiet, termed a "Still" day. Which means no musical or fun events. The huge Winter Festival "Tollwood" which opened on Friday and runs until 31st December, is closed today. I even learnt to my dismay that a couple of Christmas Markets have opened in Munich but at least they are also closed today.

For me, today also marks a point where I am going into recluse. Tonight I will close down my Facebook and similarly close my Blip to comments.

The unbelievable events in Brussels and the UK are taking up to much time. It is so ridiculous as to be real and sheds shame on a whole nation unable to face reality and going up with a whimper in smoke.

It will take more than a knight in shining armour riding a white horse to get the nation sorted. The only solution is the voice of the people to be heard.

I will of course still be posting my nonsense but it should at least be Brexit free.
