Wellington Station

Finally we woke to a morning without rain.  We got cranking, I did some spraying and cut the edges while Doug mowed the road verges.  He couldn't do the actual lawns, two reasns, far too wet and not enough time either.  I tell you we were like a couple of blow flys in a meat safe !!
Had to leave for the airport at 11am, but just before we left (takes almost 30 minutes) I got a text to say delay of 30 minutes.  Had time for a coffee, needed it. Arrived at the airport to be told another hour delay. Weather in Wellington the culprit.  However, finally airborne a good flight except for the last 20 minutes....white knuckles.  We finally landed, you don't need the details, the flight attendance made the comment over the intercom  “considering the conditions, that wasn't too bad a landing". Has to be the worst in my flying experience and I've done a fair few.
Rain and horrendous southerlies, bus into the city then train (blip) to the station near their home.
The house is filled with cartons mostly filled, our job tomorrow is pack up the kitchen and pantry.
We did a drive-by their new place, looks fabulous with views over the harbour.
Shift day is Friday.
