A rare little fern

Working on images for our next Photo Club competition today - it's 'Trees and forests of Argyll'. Not a huge entry, only 46, which reflects the dropping number of our membership. By the time I went out to deliver them to the judge it was wet, windy and gloomy, too late for a Blip, so today I've photographed a 3" potful of sporelings of Asplenium ritoense, a spleenwort from China, Japan and Taiwan. I can find nothing about it  online apart from the botanical recording of its existence, so I assume it's not generally in cultivation.

They've come on well in the last year or so - maybe in a couple more years I might have ferns big enough to plant out! It's a slow process. By then I might have somewhere to plant them!
