Arrival of the "white stuff"

Looked out of the bedroom window this morning and this is what I saw: the “white stuff”.
Stuc a Chroin, Gaelic for Peak of harm or danger, is covered in the first fall of snow this season.

This 3,199ft mountain, in the southern part of the Highlands of Scotland, is some distance from us– at least thirty miles as the crow flies.

But it is a forewarning of what is to come.

Time to turn up the central heating.
