The Tap

Today's the day . . . . . . . . . . . . . for old haunts

We drove down to Kendal today to do several things.  I was due a check up at the dentist and Will needed a haircut.  And there are some things that we're not quite ready to abandon in Kendal because it took us a long time to find such good people to do both these things!

An added bonus was that we had some free time in the afternoon and so we took ourselves off to Arnside.  We had never managed to see Mr and Mrs Knottman properly before we left Kendal because things just got too hectic so this was our chance to put things right.  As you might expect, we had a warm welcome from them both and it was lovely to catch up with their news.

Tonight, Will has gone off with his sketchbook to The Tap - to listen to the jazz and catch up with his mates over a pint or two.  No doubt, if you have a look at his journal tomorrow, you'll see how it all went . . . . . . . . . . .
