Rainstick

From the very start - this is not a photo I took and takes me straight to rant o' the day - I wish Angie would post on Blip regularly. She has a wonderful natural talent to produce great photos simply "shooting from the hip" without knowing the first thing about cameras. And this was simply from her mobile.

An hour or so later I walked this route with Luna starting off before sunset but getting back in pitch black after a long talk with one of the Muellers on the route.

The weather, still coming directly from the UK and notably, Scotland is due to change in the next few days thereby mid next week there are the meteorological conditions similar to those in December 1962 and which kicked off the Big Freeze of 62/63. The Beast from the East was a lamb in comparison. Strange that this evening's Bavarian TV weather forecaster made the comparison.

Those were back in the good old pre-EEC/EU days when it looked like we would be able to walk across the channel on the ice. Who needs Dover Ferries or a Chunnel? Enough of that - today is Friday, UK Parliament doesn't sit and Jeremy is in Portugal getting a tan before he moves into No.10 and ends the BoJo/Barage/Gove/DorothyMay "Somewhere over the Rainbow" fairytale.

Have a great weekend one and all. Oh and a lovely day to remember back to this day last year when 3 unbelievable days of pure joy, fun and laughter, sun, snow, tobogganing and Christmas markets straight out of a fairy tale with the children and grandchildren. That memory will keep me going for at least another 10 years and the grandchildren a lot longer given that after flying off from Memmingen, they landed at Stanstead and 2" of snow that cancelled their connecting flight to Dublin and were simply abandoned by Ryanair.
