Peel Tower, Ramsbottom

We ventured across into Lancashire as it was my sister's significant birthday. We enjoyed a very good lunch at the Eagle and Child Inn above Ramsbottom, on the other side of the valley from the Peel Tower. As it was nearly dark by the time we left, this was the only photo I actually took. It's not great as it was taken from over a mile away in the car park of the pub!
The tower, also known as the Peel monument, was one of two monuments opened in the Bury area to commemorate the life of Sir Robert Peel. (The other is in the market place in Bury).
