Cascade

Rather a grand title for this stream in the Prince of Wales Park but then the whole park punches above its weight.  It is pocket handkerchief sized but yet beautifully looked after by a team of hard-working volunteers.  I explored it today because I was early for a coffee morning at friend Joan's.  This was a much diminished get together of our Save the Children Committee which closed down several years ago as its members aged.  A couple of the women there today were members from the seventies.  I joined in 1985, when I'd just had Jenny, and Michael Buerk was telling us about the Ethiopian Famine through our tv sets.  We meet two or three times a year now to catch up on holidays and families, and to try avoid talking politics (which was extra difficult today!)
