A Day in the Life of......

It was such a glorious dawn this morning with the whole southern sky suffused in red, pinks, oranges and purples but if we were meant to remember the shepherds’ warning, we were proved wrong. There was no rain but a fierce biting east wind made it seem very cold.

I was out on the prowl early to deliver a few cards do my nearest neighbours in the old castle and to source some extra wide baco foil for the ‘bird’ on Christmas Day. It proved rather elusive but was finally tracked down.

With Christmas dinner on my mind, I found some frozen roast potatoes (a bit of an oxymoron there) and some honeyed parsnips also frozen solid. HL always made amazing roast potatoes for the Christmas meal, but I have decided to chicken (turkey) out of following in his footsteps.

With a farewell visit from our specialist cancer nurse at lunch time, a visit to the gym and a pop in after school from a Grandaughter, the day is nearly over with no time to feel sorry for myself. So far so good.
