Christmas Market

We had a quick wander around Exeter's Christmas Market late this afternoon with friends.  It was surprisingly empty and pretty cold, I had visited a few weeks earlier when it was so busy all I wanted to do was to leave.  This time there was space to see the stalls.  We avoided being tempted by the chocolate red wine and flavoured vodka or the small truckles of cheese with amazing descriptions as we were really on our way to see a production of Humbug. It was shown inside St Nicholas Priory which was founded in 1088 and improved in the 15th century, so a very atmospheric setting.  We were moved as a small group through various rooms where Scrooge encountered the three ghosts.  A great performance by the company - Wandering Tiger.  It was finished off by an early evening meal so a great night out.
