Abstract Thursday - White Christmas

There's a high pressure zone just slipping into place for the MidWinter, and this photo gives a decent if generally unfartnarkled impression of the only chances of any dreams of snow...

It's a rain covered panel on the camper van, newly sprayed and polished following a minor altercation with a gatepost when we nipped up to Chester at the start of the month. Luckily, twenty two year old camper vans don't worry if the white paint is slightly whiter in some places than others...

It is rather drab out there, and following some points discussions about my festive humbuggery I've fitted an outdoor socket in the porch and hung some multi-coloured LED stars. I'm sure I will soon be overfilled with the Christmas spirit. Or, more likely, Ardbeg Uigeadail.

Janet had a reasonable night's sleep last night, and the acute and agonising pain seems to have subsided. She has only the throbbing hum of discomfort now, which I'm told is lovely in comparison. With luck, we may eat more than soup this Yule.

She is, by the way, deeply appreciative of your thoughts and comments.
