Solstice

The winter solstice is tonight (22.22 GMT in London) so tonight is the longest night of the year.  After tomorrow it will start getting lighter in the evenings and, even though sunrise continues to get a little later until very early January, the overall length of daylight will start increasing again.  That always makes me feel better, even if the worst of the winter weather is still to come.

Not sure what that has to do with my blip (a decorative dried lime which my wife uses in Christmas floral decorations).
