Super Saturday

We were told this was going to be Super Saturday, with everyone out shopping for Christmas. The retailers live in hope. To Manchester City Centre, quiet in the morning, a lot busier in the afternoon, but manageable. Not as Super as feared.

Lots of Christmas shopping to be done. A lot of ground covered. Lunch at the Art Gallery - I had a brief look at the Martin Parr exhibition, it’s very good, I will have to return when I have time to look properly.

Tapas early evening and then the Festival of Nine lessons and carols at the cathedral. The cathedral choir and accompanying organ are excellent. We had a good sing too. Loved the bell ringing as we arrived at the cathedral, and a fantastic full moon both welcoming us and illuminating our return home.
