Life through the lens...

By ValC

Mud splattered.

How quickly Flower Friday has come round once again.
This rather dirty looking Christmas Rose is part of the new planting around the village pond.
Never going to look pristine white with all those ducks waddling round it.
I still think it is the wrong plant for the side of the pond.
The pond however is filling up slowly.
Very sad to look across at Tom’s. Nothing happening to the land yet. Just looks overgrown and uncared for. Such a shame.

Still coughing, although not quite as bad!

The Twelve Day’s of. Yorkshire Christmas.

On the 4th day of Christmas my true love sent to me:
4 Pomfret Cakes
3 Bronte Sisters
2 Flat Caps
And a Fat Rascal with a cup of Yorkshire tea.

( Pomfret is the Norman name for Pontefract where these sweets were made)
