A Deceit* Of Peewits In Flight

Ollie dog and I had a nice walk at Amwell Nature Reserve. Quite a few people and their dogs about today. She coped very well apart from when a golden retriever kept baring its teeth at her. She hid behind me. :)

The flock of peewits (lapwings) took to the air suddenly. This is usually because a bird of prey is around but I couldn't see one.

*The collective noun for these birds as if its nest or chicks are approached the adult bird pretends to have a broken wing to lure the predator away.
