Celebrating our blue tits

I managed a little time in the garden as it wasn't too cold today and the light was interesting as dusk approached. I looked back at the bird feeders outside the dining room and was pleased when a long-tailed tit approached. I hoped to 'get' it flying, but the only shot I got of its open wings in flight was when it was half out of the frame.

Instead I caught this blue tit and feel I should celebrate this species which is so ever present and yet its members always flit in and out of any shot, so are hard to catch in focus. I do like them and this year they seemed to have a bumper breeding season.
