Anne's Daily Encounters

From Samonas

The clouds cleared from the mountains in the afternoon while we took our drive into the hilly area just behind Chania.. my fav for a ride since it's so close and so thrillingly gorgeous ~  we got to Samonas a hamlet up in the hills where we got via the winding narrow country roads.
There we found the taverna " Adler's Nest"... a little troublesome name, but indeed located at a hilltop with panoramic views 360° around. I called my wandering son and Yes he'd been here too with his walking groups.
IN the extra a wider part of those rural roads, only here I dared to stop the car so that another could pass by, most parts the roads are half this wide and they're winding and steep.. a view to get an idea :-)

yes ofcourse we carry our grief with us these days... we know that our friend would have wished us to blow the grief off, but we need some time to manage that ~ thank you all So Much for all your kind words!
I'll try to comment upon yours again too & give stars
