A Huddle of Trees

We had a day of deliveries today. We were set to receive the glass and stainless steel for the balustrade of our deck. Now, our deck is on the same level as the bungalow but because of the slope of the hill there is a full flight of stairs down to garden level. It's that which also leads to problems with delivery of heavy/bulky items.

The steel items arrived first. they weren't a problem. They were all packed up in manageable packs and easy to take in. The glass arrived at almost the same time, the driver reversed up, which was a help because otherwise he'd be likely to open the tail lift and the goods would all disappear down the hill. In this case, when he opened the doors he couldn't heave the pallet up the lorry to get to the tail lift so in the end we had to unload the pallet and take the glass off pane by pane. The other deliveries were only light packages.

This morning was fairly bright but the day soon went grey and I struggled to find a landscape. I've photographed these trees before but decided to take more of a close up and convert to mono to make the most of the textures in these lovely trunks. I hope you'll like it as much as I do.
