Underwater Wonders

Today, we were scheduled to anchor off the town of Exmouth, and then tender ashore only to hop on another (glass bottomed) boat to gaze in wonder at the corals and sea life to be found in the fringe reef just off shore.  Sadly, the swells were once again too high to safely use the life boats, so the port was cancelled, and instead we have yet another sea day.  (There will be another one tomorrow as well.). Stymied for a photograph today, I decided to create my own "fringe reef" in our bathroom sink, with the water turned a lovely shade of blue thanks to slips of paper purloined from the laundry service, some leaves pinched from the flower arrangement on our table at lunch, and two of our faithful christmas wreath koalas standing in for exotic marine life.   Hey ... necessity is the mother of invention!

PS:  No koalas were harmed in the making of this photograph.  See extra -- they are warmly wrapped in towels, enjoying the view from our balcony!
