Great Horned Owl

 I finally saw an owl today, although not on my own. Tom & I went back to Seminary Woods, where there were several other photographers walking around, but none of us spotted any owls. On our way out, we ran into 3 more photographers who had just been in Grant Park and had seen a great horned owl. They told me exactly where it was--in a big evergreen tree right across the pond--& said we couldn't miss it, so we drove over and there it was. They, however, had 600mm lenses compared to my 300, so I didn't get a very good picture--it was pretty far away, and I've had to crop it a bit--but it was still exciting to see!  Hope you all had a great weekend! :)
