Sunbird

In the middle of winter the sun is always so low in the sky that even when the sky is clear the light is somewhat faded and watery. But each day the sun is a little higher and eventually there comes a day when you suddenly feel that even if there is no warmth in the sun, the actual sunlight has returned with its full brightness.
Today felt like such a day. At first I thought it was rather early in the year but some quick maths made me realise it was at least a month since the sun was this bright.
Here is a wooden bird hanging in the corner of the room furthest from the window. But at this time of year if the sun is out it shines directly onto this bird illuminating all the detail in its construction.
I'm blipping slightly out of order here so tomorrow's blip went up yesterday and Tuesday's blip will be up later today. I hope that's clear!
