A Day Worth Recording

Woke up, at 6am for no readily apparent reason, to find a significant covering of snow in Cambridge. Don't recall that being on any forecast.

Of course, anything above 3 nanometres of snow in Cambridgeshire usually induces panic and chaos, but thankfully my liftshare is from Derbyshire and drove around the panicers. S joined us on the liftshare today as he was spending a day volunteering at the Wildlife Trust office in Cambourne, spending all day looking at pictures. Nice work if you can get it; pity about the [absence of] pay.

To my immediate left when taking this shot is the visiting 'Blood Mobile', complete with a pint of Cheeseminer. Donation's very easy when it's literally just outside the door.

it was nice chatting to a 'first timer' who'd been impressed by just how easy it had been, and was looking forward to doing it again.

The evening saw the CAMIAM Christmas social, a lightweight affair with a quiz, games, general chat, and bring-and-share food to feed everyone several times over. Seem to have come back with more than I took.
