Week 1: Helios 40 - "Flower Friday"

If you've been following at all, I'm shooting this year with a lens a week and this week I'm using the Russian beast that is a Helios 40 (Гелиос 40). 

So far, so good :-) I've made it to Friday and I've yet to regret my decision. ( I've chosen next week's lens already, and I'm reasonably confident that by Friday I will be wishing I hadn't ! :-P )

These are flowers - that's pretty much the extent of knowledge with regard to this particular one, other than given this was a Christmas bouquet, they are more or less immortal ... ( and also white, which makes me feel _great_ about shooting them in monochrome ! )
