A time for everything

Welcoming committee!

Sunday
It was a dismal drive home, through very low cloud - driving through Atlanta, you couldn’t even see the tops of the downtown buildings. Otherwise, however, it was a decent drive, with just one detour, to avoid an accident. We shared the driving, and I would read or knit when Roger was driving, and we would listen to music and podcasts. We knew we were going back to snow at home, but we didn’t know when we would run into it. As it turned out, we didn’t see any snow at the sides of the road until we were about an hour or so from home. We were very pleasantly surprised upon arriving home at about 8.30, to find our driveway already cleared! Our good neigbour Rolf had cleared it when doing his own, with his snow plough attachment to his lawn tractor! I think a thank-you gift is called for! It was his wife Lori who had kept an eye on the house for us while we were in France, and Rolf would always make sure one of the cars was running OK whenever Laura came home on her own to visit friends! Great neighbors to have! Because of the dismal weather and little subject matter driving on the interstate all day, I arrived home blipless, so my trio of teddies came to the rescue - it’s always nice to get back to ones own bed!
