Athena M, Heading Out

6.4C (through the night it was about 9C) dull cloudy with long heavy showers. W/WSW wind to 28 mph with gusts to 41 mph.

We came back the same way then along the street side of the park and came home through town passing the town hall and the bookshop (closed for half day). I noticed a book about Davaar island in the window.

Hannah Silva presents her 'musical shirt', as made for her by Tomomi Adachi, the shirt is an invention that allows her to turn movement into sound poetry. And finally, poet and performer Abi Palmer finds that her synesthesia is heightened by the experience of water, so especially for The Verb she presents a poem written while taking a 'musical bath'..."

Showers - A Haiku
Passing the harbour
A long, heavy shower fell
my hands became cold

Gallows Hill - A haiku
Between sharp showers
A cow on the horizon
walks on gallows hill
