Phew! Just seen the film The Favourite, historical drama based on Queen Anne.
 
   I am  sure some of the explicit lesbian scenes will have shocked elderly male members in the audience. Not for the faint-hearted.

Now my knowledge of English history is shaky and the first thing I did on coming out of this film was to google it to see how much of it was based on fact.

It was true.
