In search of his nuts!

Pretty grey today, not the brightness that was forecast! I was up earlier than hub, so decided to make some vegetable soup for lunch, before taking him tea and toast in bed ;-)

We were supposed to be visiting middle son, DiL and their four girls today, but they have been a bit under the weather with coughs and colds, so we decided to take a rain check.

Mid morning we decided on a walk into town, to get some fresh air and a newspaper. We called in Costa for a coffee, before walking back. It felt milder than of late.

We enjoyed the soup for lunch, then read the papers a while. I went to make a cup of tea and noticed Sammy Squirrel on the back lawn, digging up one of his many hidden monkey nuts, in our lawn, much to hubs dismay lol!!

We decided to watch a film mid afternoon.
We opted for The Darkest Hour, with Gary Oldman as Winston Churchill......thoroughly enjoyed it!!! Oldman is a brilliant Churchill!!!

I made a chicken and bacon pasta bake topped with -50% cheddar cheese, which is surprisingly tasty for dinner, the. we watched Country file then later Les Miserables, which is so good!!

A pretty lazy Sunday.
