Benavente Blipmeet

So today we took a day off the Land to visit old friends and make a new one. Spent a few hours with friends in Mora (where we lived for 2016), including one of Bia's superb pizzas, just how I like it, with prawns and spinach.

And then to Benavente, on the shores of the Sorraia River, tributary to the Tagus, to meet the only other Blipper that I know of who lives in Portugal. "Jaydee" has two gorgeous dogs, Tina and Sally, who are Podengos, a Portuguese hunting breed. He is a retired Scottish vicar, from Fife. Photo taken by my human tripod, showing the very same willow and boat that you see here on Jaydee's own journal, plus Sally, the younger dog. Jaydee did a great job of showing us one of his walks, and grateful the rain held off. Loads to talk about, ended with a drink in his usual café.

And now we are in Lisbon, at a colleague's flat... so good to have a break.
