Weird Wednesday

So there's a Wild Wednesday, and Wide Angle Wednesday, perhaps there's space for Weird Wednesday... anyhow. We've had a busy day buying footwear - yeah, we know how to rock. There may have been coffees and cakes intermingled somewhere.

This evening we went to a really decent talk on the future of electric vehicles, by Sara Sloman, the principle officer of "Go Ultra Low" West, working for the West of England Combined Authority.

Fascinating, particularly for me with a professional background in electricity, generation, and battery storage and of course a lay expertise in local planning. I had far more questions than there was time for.

Nobody voiced the key issue of population, nor the "unsayable solution" of worldwide population regulation, but there was much said about congestion, HGV carriers, diesel buses and battery life.

How about how many electric vehicles would run out of energy in the event of a motorway accident, while they were waiting for the crashed vehicles to be removed? And how many would run out behind them, waiting for the discharged vehicles to be... etc.

In the end it was gone ten o'clock and no photography had taken place whatsoever. In the town high street, this fellow looked out of the window, smiling, knowing perhaps, the unsayable is always said in the end.
