All is calm

...all is white.

We received 30cm/12inches of snow overnight morphing our world into an otherworldly place.  It was just beautiful and so quiet.  I think it's one of the things I like most about the snow.  The cloak of silence it brings.

Around noon the sun came out and decorated the snow in diamonds.  I trudged out into the white powder to walk to my neighbours cabin down the road for a cup of tea.  The snow that fell overnight on the driveway was so high it almost spilled over into my knee high mukluks.
