Drizzly Warren

A drizzly day and no indication it would get any better later. Looking at the weather map it seemed that the cloud might be lighter to the north and east so I went off to Dawlish Warren. I haven't been there for a while and it's always good for a bracing walk. The tide was on its way out which is always good to get fresh unmarked sand. I always like to get well away from the commercial area and although it's a dog friendly beach, dogs aren't allowed past Groyne 9 to avoid disturbance to overwintering birds so it's even quieter there.

There was a large digger moving sand about as there's a battle going on to prevent the eastward drift of the sand. You can see that this groyne has almost been buried by sand. I liked the calm pool of water on this side and it quite naturally made a high key image. A lens hood kept most of the drizzle off the lens.
