Pony

Today I returned to the Black Country town where I worked for 39 years. It's now two and a half years since I was last there.  Bilston is now home to an interesting array of sculptures created when the whole town had to be remodelled (including its people) following the closure of the steelworks which drove the town's economy.

I haven't found all the sculptures yet, and some of them are quite difficult to get to.  This shot is of one of three ponies (one of which seems to have disappeared) made out of the sort of scrap metal components and tools which would have been made in the area in its heyday.  I thought this one had a real sense of movement in it.
