Nothing to see here

A few work parties are planned at the boatyard to get that workboat into shape to get back into the water. So of course, one has to volunteer. By good fortune, when I arrived, the work had been done so I set to on one of the Blake’s valves which is stuck open. Blighter, it’ll take some shifting. Maybe I’ll wait for warmer weather.
And earlier I’d been to collect my raffle prize. Surely there must be some small boys or girls, even, who would appreciate it?
Over the whole day hung the news of the ex-FM - I was expecting some minor(ish) misdemeanours on the charge sheet, but when all was revealed mid-afternoon, it was frankly a bit of a shocker in its seriousness. I shan’t be unwise and comment on the specifics; here is a lovely seascape. And farewell Hugh McIlvanney, one of the immortals noo.
