Working it out...

Over the weekend all the people on the trip, divided into groups, provide and prepare the food and drink. After breakfast on Sunday we work out costs. We pile our receipts onto the table, add it all up, and divide by five to give a cost per couple. Some people pay into the pot, others get money back, and we are always surprised by how little it has cost to eat and drink such lovely fare. For the cost of one evening's food in a restaurant we get three breakfasts, lunches and 3 course dinners, with wine included!
And we get to go skiing too!
The drive home was a little slower than usual because the roads were icy, and as we got near the coast we ran into heavy snow. (Actually the snow was very light, but there was a lot of it coming down.)
Once we got home there was a fair bit of snow-clearing before we could get all our stuff into the house and park the car.  To be quite honest, after 4 hours sitting in the car it's actually rather pleasant to do some physical exercise before finally getting inside for that very welcome cup of tea!
