Island Queen, Tayinloan

6.7C sunny morning with some cloud around, showers from about 3.30pm. Light becoming moderate NNW/W/WSW/SW breeze.

Apothecary7's day off.

Since it was so bright this morning we decided to drive up the West road to Tayinloan and walk along the beach to visit the wreck of the Island Queen. As we started off along the beach the 11am ferry was setting off on the short crossing to Gigha.

We walked along the beach to see the wreck of the Island Queen, then carried on walking along the beach towards the bay at Point Sands holiday (caravan) park. There was just a dusting of snow on the very tops of the hills on Jura, although we had seen more white further North as we drove up the road. Very pleasant walking.

As we wandered back to Tayinloan the ferry was just setting off to Gigha again on its noon crossing.

Lunch at Glenbarr.

Later Apothecary7 was printing a couple of photos from her Instax camera and thinking about painting.
